Waffles for Everyone

After Derek’s comment, I couldn’t help myself.  So here’s the post! Over the past few months I’ve been trying to get more creative with breakfast but every once in a while I just want to have something super-easy. Nothing is more easy than popping a frozen waffle into the toaster. I don’t like butter so I’ll sometimes put some raw almond-butter on them or if I have the time, blend some thick plain yogurt with fruit and drizzle that over them…and always a sprinkle of cinnamon. See photo below.

I shop at Whole Foods and they have a fun selection of healthy waffle options including  Vans Organic Soy Flax and Nature’s Path Organic Hemp Plus, Buckwheat and Flax Plus. Of course they have some more fun varieties too… belgian, buttermilk, blueberry, apple-cinnamon, etc.  Yum. Heading to Whole Foods today to stock back up.
