SweetGreen

I’ve started going out of my way to find restaurants who have designed healthier menus, buy locally produced ingredients and make an effort towards sustainability. There aren’t many! But, they are growing in number. I recently decided to try SweetGreen in Georgetown (Washington, DC). It’s an adorable little shoe-box of a place with a perfectly simple menu: local produce for delicious salads, and frozen yogurt with a variety of toppings. I bought a salad and had it folded into a wrap to take home - it was great. As others have mentioned on Yelp, it’s a little pricey ($9 for the salad/wrap) but I’m willing to pay a little more to get fresh, healthy food. I’ll be back soon to test the yogurt ;)
oh - and they have a great logo (and yes, the leaves look like green ears behind my head…)
